They are really easy to be made and can decorated with theme for christmas celebration.
Ingredients:
11/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened butter or margarine
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup pure cane confectioner's sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
a pinch of salt for taste
Note :
Always bring the butter to the room temperature for better cookies and sieve the flour so that th e lumps can be avoided in the batter.
Directions :
1. Preheat oven to 400 degree F. On the cookie sheet place parchment paper. In a large bowl cream the butter with powdered sugar until smooth. Beat the egg and vanilla in the cream.
2. Mix the dry ingredients in a smal bowl, stir together flour, baking powder. Gradually in parts blends in the dry mixture to the cream. Make round sheet from the dough and cut it to various shapes by the cookie cutter or else make round pressed rolls & place it on the cookie sheet with some distance between them.
3. Bake it for 8-10 min in preheated oven or until golden brown. Leave the cookie on the sheets for 2 min & before removing it to cool further on the wire rack.
